“It’s as much fun as ‘Extreme Job’,” Positive reviews of “6/45”, a comical encounter between South and North Korean soldiers

The comedy film “6/45,” starring actors Ko Kyung-pyo and Lee Yi-kyung, is receiving positive responses as soon as it is released in cinema.

6/45” is about a comical encounter between South and North Korean soldiers over a lotto ticket that is worth 5.7 billion won, which crossed the military demarcation line due  to the wind. The colorful lineup, including Chungmuro’s next-generation actors Ko Kyung-pyo, Lee Yi-kyung, Eum Moon-seok, Park Se-wan, Kwak Dong-yeon, Lee Soon-won, and Kim Min-ho draws hot attention even before the movie was released.

The movie begins with Sergeant Chun-woo (played by Ko Kyung-pyo), who has been waiting for his discharge, winning the lotto jackpot of 5.7 billion won.

After a brief dream of after he wins the prize, the Lotto crosses the military demarcation line and enters the hands of the North Korean soldier Yong-ho (Lee Yi-kyung). Chun-woo then sets up an expedition for the Lotto ticket with Kang Dae-wi (Eum Moon-seok) and Man-cheol (Kwak Dong-yeon).

“6/45” is the only comedy movie at the cinema this late summer.

Audiences who have watched the movie quickly commented, “It has been a long time since I laughed so hard at the theater,” “I laughed from the beginning to the end,” and “It would be perfect to watch with my family on Chuseok,” and reviewed that this would be the best comedy movie of this year’s late summer.

Although it deals with heavy materials such as the division of the Korean Peninsula and GP, there were also reviews that the cast’s great acting caused laughter amid tension.

They highly praised the actors’ chemistry with reactions such as “A fun movie after a long time since ‘Extreme Job'” and “The combination of Go Kyung-pyo, Lee Yi-kyung, Kwak Dong-yeon and Eum Moon-suk is crazy.”

The plot of “a meeting between South and North Korea” and the message “we are one” might make you feel that you have seen it many times before. However, “6/45” is expected to provide a funny note in the stimulating content.

In particular, “6/45” raises the expectation as it promises a place where you can laugh and enjoy with your family ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

Meanwhile, “6/45” was released on August 24th and is being screened at theaters nationwide.
