“ISAC” to Resume This Chuseok After 2 Years “Filming in August”
MBC's "Idol Star Athletics Championships" (ISAC) will resume after a two-year hiatus
According to News1 on June 20th, “ISAC” will return this Chuseok. This marks its comeback after its last special broadcast during Chuseok in 2022.
This year’s “ISAC” is scheduled to be filmed in early August, with current preparations including casting for various events.
According to multiple sources, this year’s “ISAC” will feature new aspects of idols in sports such as futsal, golf and relay races.
“ISAC” first began as a Chuseok special in 2010 and has been a beloved holiday program for viewers. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Lunar New Year special was held as a talk show revisiting highlight clips, and the event was subsequently put on hold.
The program made a comeback during the 2022 Chuseok holiday but was not held during the holidays last year and this year’s Lunar New Year, leading to speculation about its future. Now, with its return this Chuseok, “ISAC” will resume after 2 years.
