Industry Experts Believe SUGA Won’t Leave the Group After Drunk Driving Incident

Suga now under fire for drunk driving

The news of SUGA driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.227% has been met with negative reactions. The rapper stated that he only ‘had one beer and drove a short distance.’

Some fans, as well as the public, are expressing extreme disappointment, suspecting that SUGA may have lied about the amount of alcohol he consumed. They believe that SUGA has tarnished the legacy that BTS built over 11 years of ‘blood, sweat, and tears.’

Moreover, the other BTS members are currently working hard while serving in the military, aiming for a full comeback in 2025. As members continue to demonstrate exemplary behavior, such as being selected as special soldiers, achieving excellent scores as teaching assistants, or receiving reward vacations, fans were surprised by SUGA’s actions as the only social worker among them.

There are also concerns that this incident could hinder BTS’s activities as a group.

Sports Chosun quoted music industry officials stating that SUGA is also carefully reflecting on the drunk driving incident. Given that BTS is a group with strong teamwork, extreme measures like leaving the group are unlikely to be discussed.

Furthermore, since HYBE is currently grappling with various issues, the prevailing prediction is that BTS’s comeback in 2025 will be strongly promoted as a complete group.
