FN Entertainment announced on Nov 25th that Im Soo-hyang will appear as the heroine in MBC’s new drama “Dr. Lawyer”.
MBC’s “Dr. Lawyer” is a heartwarming and exhilarating medical-suspense drama about a genius surgeon who becomes a medical malpractice lawyer after losing everything from a fabricated surgery and a prosecutor from the Medical Crimes Department who loses their only family and lover through that surgery. Together, they punish those who believe that the importance of a person’s life can be ranked based on their wealth and power and comfort the victims who have been wronged. Previously, So Ji-sub and Shin Sung-rok confirmed to join the cast.
Im Soo-hyang will take on the role of Geum Seok-young, a prosecutor in the medical crime division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. Geum Seok-young is a prosecutor with a firm belief that the rehabilitation of criminals comes from punishment, not forgiveness and leniency. In addition, she is a person with a humanity that gives innocent defendants more actively than lawyers.
Viewers are focusing on what kind of acting transformation Im Soo-hyang, who has drawn attention due to her extraordinary character digestibility, will show through her attractive character Geum Seok-young.
Im Soo-hyang, who has shown a wide spectrum of acting through her delicate inner acting skill and chemistry with other co-stars regardless of age or gender, is expected to showcase another enthusiastic performance through “Dr. Lawyer”.
