On the July 20 episode of tvN STORY’s Table Tales, Im Soo Hyang appeared as a guest alongside Uee. During the show, host Lee Young Ja asked, “I heard you suddenly sold your house, moved to a smaller place, and even replaced your car with a smaller one. Did something change in your mindset? Or did you go bankrupt?” Im Soo Hyang laughed and replied, “I just wanted to live a life of decluttering.”

She also addressed the long-running rumors surrounding her former sports car. “My car really was a sports car,” she said. “But as the rumors spread, people exaggerated it into ‘Im Soo Hyang’s supercar.'” She recalled joking during a filming session when someone asked why she bought the car. “I jokingly answered, ‘For show-off purposes,’ but the headlines became, ‘Im Soo Hyang bought a supercar just to show off,'” she said with a smile. She also revealed that she had moved from a spacious Han River-view apartment of around 60 pyeong (approximately 198 square meters) to a home less than half that size.

Im Soo Hyang explained that burnout was the turning point that led her to reorganize her life. "There was a period when I experienced burnout," she said. "It happened while I was doing theater. After an awards ceremony, when January 1 arrived, I suddenly didn't even want to practice anymore, even though rehearsing had always been something I loved. I didn't want to go to the theater or attend rehearsals."

She continued, “I kept asking myself, ‘What do I really want?’ and ‘What kind of person and what kind of actress do I want to become?’ I realized I wasn’t challenging myself the way I used to. So I started trying things I had never done before.” Beginning with running, she gradually changed different aspects of her daily life. Eventually, she found herself wondering, “Do I really need all of these things?” That question ultimately led her to choose a more minimalist lifestyle, explaining that taking on new challenges transformed both her mindset and personal growth.
