“I’ll become the best” Ruthless perfectionist Lee Young-ae (Maestra: Strings of Truth)

The character posters for “Maestra: Strings of Truth” featuring Lee Young-ae, Lee Moo-saeng, Kim Young-jae and Hwang Bo-reum-byeol have been unveiled

tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama “Maestra: Strings of Truth” (written by Choi Yi-yoon, Hong Jung-hee/ directed by Kim Jung-kwon/ planned by Studio Dragon/ produced by RaemongRaein, Group 8), set to premiere on December 9th, is about a secretive female conductor who faces the truth surrounding her by digging into the mysterious incidents that happen within her orchestra.

The posters depict a single diagonal line reminiscent of a conductor’s baton across the faces of the characters. This line, accompanied by sharp gazes and hidden emotions, suggests both clarity and hidden complexities within each character.

Lee Young-ae’s character, conductor Cha Se-eum, declares, “Since I’m here, I’ll become the best. Ruthlessly and fiercely.” The phrase reflects her ruthless perfectionism and hints at the anxiety of guarding a secret that should not be discovered.

The poster for UC Financial Chairman Yoo Jung-jae (played by Lee Moo-saeng) raises questions with the statement, “You’re mine. I saved you.” The intense possessiveness towards Cha Se-eum leaves room for curiosity about the relationship between them, especially considering the chilling tone of the word “saved”.

The face of composer Kim Pil (played by Kim Young-jae), Cha Se-eum’s affectionate husband and musical partner, also shows shadows. The caption “I think I can’t live without you” suggests dedication to his wife but also hints at emotional deficiencies and raises questions about what might be shaking him.

The orchestra’s youngest concertmaster Lee Ru-na (played by Hwang Bo-reum-byeol) expresses strong trust in Cha Se-eum, saying, “I can do anything, Teacher.” This statement, combined with her intense admiration for conductor Cha Se-eum, leaves an impression of somewhat blind devotion. The fiery emotions within Lee Ru-na’s heart arouse curiosity.

The small cracks on the posters suggest that the lives of Cha Se-eum, Yoo Jung-jae, Kim Pil and Lee Ru-na will gradually deviate. The increasing instability in their lives and the mysterious presence that shakes them make their story even more intriguing. “Maestra: Strings of Truth” is set to premiere at 9:20 PM on December 9th.
