“I didn’t come all the way here just to extort some money”… Han Seo-hee got angry at the suspicion from Yang Hyun-suk’s side
Han Seo-hee got frustrated when asked if she reported B.I’s drug case for money.
On June 20th, the Seoul Central District’s Criminal Division 23 (Judge Jo Byung-gu) held the 7th trial against former CEO Yang Hyun-suk, who was indicted on charges of violating the law on aggravated punishment of certain crimes (threatening retaliation).
Han Seo-hee informed YG of the fact that she smoked marijuana with T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun) first. When asked if she did it for money by Yang Hyun-suk’s representative, Han Seo-hee expressed her displeasure, saying “You’ve really twisted the fact. It was actually the other way around. What made you think I did that?”, adding, “I didn’t come all the way here just to extort some money”.
Han Seo-hee said, “The context was that I thought it would be better for them to hear it from me than other people’s words”, adding, “I thought it would be better if I told YG everything myself instead of them hearing rumors that Choi Seung-hyun got involved in drugs because of me.”
Han Seo-hee also claimed that she was threatened by YG because of B.I (Kim Han-bin)’s drug case before administering drugs with T.O.P. Yang Hyun-suk’s side asked back, “You said you were threatened, but you even used drugs again and informed YG. Does it make sense?”. Han Seo-hee replied, “Using drugs is my personal issue”.
Also, regarding Han Seo-hee’s statement that Yang Hyun-suk would give Han Seo-hee a “reward” if she covered up the drug case, Yang Hyun-suk’s side insisted, “It doesn’t make sense when someone got threatened but also received a ‘reward’.” In response, Han Seo-hee kept her statement that she was threatened, saying “It was Yang Hyun-suk who called it a ‘reward’”.
Yang Hyun-suk is being accused of threatening and trying to conciliate Han Seo-hee, who reported B.I’s drug case in August 2016. Han Seo-hee said she reversed her testimony during the police investigation and report through the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in 2019 because she was under external pressure and threats from YG.
Meanwhile, Yang Hyun-suk’s side denied all the charges, saying “He admitted to meeting Han Seo-hee. However, he did not threaten or force her to make false statements.”
