She captioned it: “It’s so hard to change that front number from the high end of 50. Still a long way to go. How much did you even eat, Kim HyunA! HyunAaaa!!!”
Her candid message reflects not only a physical change but a determined mindset. Based on her post, HyunA has shed approximately 10kg. Despite already having a slim figure, the star seems determined to continue her diet until reaching her desired weight.
Adding to the transformation, fans noticed that the tattoo on the top of her foot has faded significantly. HyunA previously revealed she began removing her tattoos about a year ago at her mother’s request a process that appears to be well underway.
On October 3, HyunA shared a post motivating herself to take her diet seriously. She wrote, “HyunA, you’ve eaten so much. Get it together and go hard on this diet. You liked being bone-thin. Let’s do it again.” Her visible results just a month later show her strong willpower in action.
HyunA has also been the subject of ongoing pregnancy rumors, especially around the time of her rapid wedding to former Highlight member Yong Jun-hyung in October last year after just nine months of dating. Speculation flared again when she appeared to gain some weight following her marriage and was seen performing less energetically on stage. Her agency firmly denied the rumors, stating: “The pregnancy rumors are not true.”
Addressing the situation herself, HyunA appeared in the YouTube show “Yongtaro” this May and explained the reason behind her weight gain. “I think I gained weight because I was happy. I also had to gain weight for health reasons,” she said. “But I felt too heavy dancing, so I decided to go back on a diet.”
