On the 19th, a video titled “What kind of flow is this? LOL She came to catch the oppas but ended up spilling old stories for 30 minutes and getting her soul snatched, eternal dancing machine Hyoyeon” was uploaded to the DonghaeMul and BaekduEunhyuk YouTube channel.
In the Come This Way segment, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon appeared as a guest and engaged in a candid conversation. While discussing the group’s practice atmosphere, Hyoyeon shared, “In the past, when someone suggested an opinion, it was usually ‘Okay, I’ll do it.’ But now, some members clearly say things like, ‘No, I don’t think this is a good idea.’”
In response, Donghae commented, “The difference between you guys and us is that we have a bit of fear.” Eunhyuk added, “When I’m the only one with a different opinion, I think, ‘What if I get criticized?’ We’re scared of being isolated within the group.”
Hyoyeon then explained, “But I think groups need that kind of honesty. That’s why I once spoke very strongly. When they kept asking me to justify my reasons, I ended up saying, ‘Then do it without me.’ I’m very T-type. I guess I didn’t realize it would go that far. About a year later, they told me they were really hurt by it.”

Donghae then asked, “Do you guys fight too?” Hyoyeon answered honestly, “We actually don’t fight much. You always hear stories about other girl groups fighting, but I think fighting can happen. When you’re working and don’t always think the same way, how can opinions always match?” She added, “We usually take a step back, so we don’t fight often—but if you had to pick a troublemaker, it’d be me.”
Curious, Donghae asked, “So what was the biggest fight during Girls’ Generation promotions?” Hyoyeon immediately replied, “Me.” When pressed for details, she laughed and said, “Me versus the majority.”
Eunhyuk then asked if she had jumped in alone, and Hyoyeon recalled a specific incident: “There was a time when we couldn’t go into rehearsal because of me. That could’ve damaged our relationship with the broadcast station. It was my fault. I was returning from skiing in Yongpyeong when the car spun out, so I had to call another car and arrived late.”
She continued, “I apologized to the broadcast station, but not to the members.” Explaining her mindset at the time, she said, “I thought if I explained what happened, the members would worry about me. I really wanted to be there, but there had been an accident. But for them, it was still work. It wasn’t about ‘Are you hurt?’, it was about the schedule. That’s where they got upset.”

Eunhyuk responded, “You expected them to say, ‘Are you okay?’ first.” Hyoyeon nodded and added, “But instead, I cluelessly came in saying, ‘Let’s go, fighting!’ Then two members pulled me aside and said, ‘This isn’t the atmosphere for that. You should apologize to the members first.’ That’s when I realized what I should’ve done.”
When Eunhyuk commented, “So it wasn’t a huge fight then,” Hyoyeon clarified, “I didn’t apologize immediately. It wasn’t days later, but a few hours later.” Eunhyuk described it as “an uncomfortable tension,” while Donghae pointed out, “Usually, the first thing you say is ‘I’m sorry.’”
Laughing at herself, Hyoyeon replied, “Exactly. I wasn’t educated enough. That one was on me.”
