Hyeri has been confirmed to take on the lead role in the upcoming drama “She Is, Handle With Care,” raising anticipation for her next transformation as an actress.
According to reports on April 7, Hyeri will play the character Jin Ja-young, the central figure of the series. The drama is based on the 2017 Japanese NTV drama “Caution, Hazardous Wife,” and tells the story of a suspenseful married life between a former spy wife in hiding and her husband, who is secretly a black agent from the National Intelligence Service. Despite once being enemies, the two continue their dangerous cohabitation while hiding their true identities.
In the drama, Jin Ja-young chooses marriage as part of a disguise. Believing that maintaining peace in her neighborhood ensures her own safety, she takes matters into her own hands by preemptively dealing with local troublemakers before the police get involved. However, her seemingly ordinary life takes a turn when she encounters an unexpected threat—her own husband, whom she believed to be a model citizen.
This project marks a significant milestone in Hyeri’s career, as it will be her first time portraying a married woman, as well as a black agent. Known for her versatile performances across various dramas, Hyeri is expected to showcase a new layer of depth through this dual-identity character.
The script is written by Kim Ryu-hyun, known for “Switch: Change the World,” further adding credibility and anticipation to the production.
