Hyeri Mentions Her Aegyo On “Real Man”, “I Got Scolded By My Company’s CEO”
Girl’s Day’s Hyeri revealed a behind-the-scenes story of when she made the iconic aegyo on the reality program “Real Man”
On April 19th, Hyeri’s YouTube channel released a new video featuring the guest appearance of Sunmi. When Sunmi asked, “By the way, can you please let me know how to make a meme?”, Hyeri replied, “If you want to make a meme, you should be diligent”.
Sunmi continued, “I think this is the important thing. You had a lot of iconic moments”, mentioning Hyeri’s aegyo in “Real Man”.
Hearing that, Hyeri said, “Would you like me to tell you the behind-the-scenes story at that time?”, adding “At that time, my company’s CEO said before the show, ‘This is the first time doing a female soldier special, you shouldn’t show your weakness’. Rather than men, I went with the stronger and more courageous mindset, and then I cried a lot there”.
She added, “I told the CEO and he was like, ‘Did you do something like that again there?’, so I said, ‘Right, I did like that’. So he sighed like this hard, ‘Did you do that there? Why did you do that… You shouldn’t do that there!’.”
Listening to the story carefully, Sunmi was very surprised. She reacted, “So it hit like that much? Viewers who were seeing would also think, ‘That must be so hard’, ‘She’s doing well’, etc. and then you did this.”
Meanwhile, Hyeri purchased a four-story building with a land area of 245.3㎡ in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in December 2020 under the name of MPO, a corporation she founded, and reconstructed the building. The market price of the building and land is currently more than 7.5 billion won, and Hyeri has reportedly made a profit of 3 billion won.
