On May 31st, a video featuring Byeon Woo-seok was uploaded on Hyeri’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Byeon Woo-seok, who is known to be friends with Hyeri, appeared as a guest. The two became acquainted while working together on the 2022 KBS 2TV drama “Moonshine”. Byeon Woo-seok recently reached the peak of his career with tvN’s drama “Lovely Runner”.
Byeon Woo-seok and Hyeri met looking well-dressed. However, Byeon Woo-seok mentioned, “It’s the first time we’re meeting like this. Feels very awkward.” Hyeri also commented, “We usually meet in loungewear. And always very comfortably. A casual friendship… so this is…”
Hyeri congratulated Byeon Woo-seok on his success with the drama “Lovely Runner”, saying, “I knew you’d do well. But I didn’t expect you’d shake up Korea this much.”
Hyeri also revealed that they were part of an acting study group together. She said, “We see each other about once a month, but we’ve never drunk alcohol together.” Byeon Woo-seok added, “We have gatherings we go to. We eat with friends and just chat. Eat shaved ice. Have Baskin-Robbins ice cream.”
Byeon Woo-seok shared how he became close to Hyeri, “I’m not the type to make friends quickly, but Hyeri asked, ‘Do you want to do a study group?’ From then on, we got close rapidly. We worked hard at that time.“
The two also shared their first impressions of each other.
Hyeri said, “We worked together on a drama called ‘Moonshine’. I heard Byeon Woo-seok was going to be in it so I looked him up. Model-turned-actor. Emerging talent.”
She continued, “But when I saw his profile photo, it was kind of… It was just so-so. Then… We met for the script reading. And this really handsome guy walked in.”
Hyeri added, “I told him after we became close! ‘Oppa, change your profile photo.’ It’s still that photo. People often ask me, ‘Which celebrity looks the best in person?’ I always said Byeon Woo-seok, honestly.”
Byeon Woo-seok recalled his first meeting with Hyeri, “When I first saw you, I thought you were really famous and the image you had was very outgoing… lively… That’s the feeling I had. Hyeri and Byeon Woo-seok shared a drink with ramen as a side dish.
