On April 24, a new video titled “My dream trip to the Maldives… I finally made it come true ♥” was uploaded to Hyeri‘s YouTube channel, documenting her vacation with staff members.

While enjoying her trip, Hyeri later shared a shocking story from the previous night. She said, “There were so many stars, it felt like they were pouring down. I wanted to see them properly, so I lay on a floating hammock tube in the sea, just drifting.” At first, the bright lights from her accommodation made it hard to see, but once her eyes adjusted, the view became clear.

However, things quickly took a turn. Hyeri explained, “When I looked ahead, it was completely dark. When I turned around, my place was really far away. I thought I’d stay a bit longer, but I had drifted much farther than I realized.”

She continued, “I tried to turn the float and paddle back, but I wasn’t moving forward at all. The wind was so strong, and the current kept pushing me away from the accommodation. I was holding my phone, so I could only paddle with one hand, and it didn’t work.”

As panic set in, Hyeri admitted, “I thought, ‘This is serious. Should I call my manager?’ All kinds of thoughts crossed my mind.” Eventually, she gathered all her strength and paddled with full force, even risking her phone getting wet, until she slowly made progress and managed to return safely.

A staff member reacted with surprise, saying, “It was so quiet outside, I thought you were just having an amazing, peaceful time. If you had called and I didn’t answer, it could have been really dangerous.”

Reflecting on the incident, Hyeri calmly concluded, “It wasn’t something life-threatening, but it definitely felt more dangerous than I expected. It’s something I can laugh about now.”
