On April 24, a video titled “My Dream Trip to the Maldives… Finally Made It Happen” was uploaded to Hyeri’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Hyeri traveled to the Maldives with her longtime hair and makeup staff, fulfilling a dream she had cherished for years. She explained, “They’ve worked so hard, so I wanted us to create happy memories together.”
While in the Maldives, Hyeri enjoyed a variety of activities with her team, including swimming, yoga, spa sessions, and a sunset cruise, making the most of the trip.
During a meal after filming, staff members shared touching stories about Hyeri. One staff member who has worked with her for seven years recalled the time of Hyeri’s contract renewal, saying, “Staff members are tied to their artists, so if Hyeri had left, we would have been left without direction.” They continued, “One day, the agency director called us in, and we thought Hyeri was leaving—but instead, we were told she had renewed her contract.”
The staff member then revealed, “Hyeri didn’t take the signing bonus and instead requested that it be given as bonuses to the staff. We all cried at that moment. Since then, we felt we could never leave the company.” The emotional memory brought tears to the staff member again, while Hyeri herself appeared shy and teary-eyed.
More heartfelt anecdotes followed. One staff member shared, “I had never traveled abroad before, but Hyeri suddenly told me to get a passport. It turned out to be a reward trip to the Maldives—my first passport stamp was the Maldives.”
Another staff member recalled an incident from a drama wrap party, saying, “We went to a department store together to pick a lucky draw gift, and after filming, I got into the car and found a wallet left there. My hands were shaking from how surprised I was,” hinting at Hyeri’s thoughtful generosity.
