Hyein Sobbed At Fanmeeting After Resuming Activities, “NewJeans Sisters Were Very Worried About Me”
NewJeans member Hyein confessed her overwhelming feelings upon returning after a long hiatus due to a foot injury
At 7 p.m. on June 27th, NewJeans held their fanmeeting ‘Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome’ at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. With this fanmeeting, NewJeans achieved an unprecedented milestone of becoming the fastest overseas artist to enter Tokyo Dome, only one year and 11 months after their debut.
Earlier in April, member Hyein halted activities to receive treatment after discovering a microfracture on the top of her foot. As she announced her comeback by participating in “Bunnies Camp” fanmeeting on June 20th, fans raised high expectations for the event.
While NewJeans was expressing their feelings at the fanmeeting, Hyein burst into tears, saying “The sisters were very worried about me during the time I was absent from group schedules. Thank you so much”. When NewJeans members then approached Hyein and wiped her tears, Hyein said, “You guys worked so hard”. Minji also confessed, “When we carried out schedules with four members, I thought of Hyein a lot. But I worked hard to fill the empty space left by Hyein and Hyein also cheered for us”. After saying this, Minji also shed tears.
Hyein tearfully shared, “It’s been so long since I last met Bunnies. Each and every one of you is so precious and you can shine brightly. Thank you so much for being by my side.” Minji added, “It’s like a dream for me to see Bunnies filling such a big venue. I hope everyone continues to look forward to NewJeans”.
