HYBE’s rookies are boasting growing popularity and infinite growth potential
As BTS are fulfilling their military duties and working on solos, HYBE’s new groups are gaining more attention.
Recently, the leading U.S. business magazine, Forbes released “30 Under 30 Influential People in Asia”. LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans were proudly listed thanks to the two groups’ growing global popularity and infinite growth potential.
The figures do not lie. The album “UNFORGIVEN” by LE SSERAFIM ranked sixth on the Billboard 200 and succeeded in maintaining its position on the chart for two consecutive weeks.
Their title track of the same name, featuring Nile Rodgers, charted well on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs for 22 consecutive days since its release, while the album racked up 1.25 million copies in first-week album sales.
On the other hand, NewJeans flaunts strong attraction with a cumulative 1 billion streams on Spotify. “OMG” and “Ditto” charted well on Billboard Hot 100 and other domestic charts in the first quarter of the year. They are set to perform in the lineup for the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago.
&TEAM is a group that debuted under HYBE Labels Japan and has been making waves on Japanese charts such as the Oricon Chart and the Billboard Japan with the debut album “First Howling: ME”. The group is making forays into Korea starting June 14th.
Most recently, a six-member boy group BOYNEXTDOOR under KOZ Entertainment will release their debut single album “WHO!” on May 30th, at 6 PM (KST). PopTime and Zico is the producer behind the album, raising expectations for its performance and musicality.
