On the October 16 episode of the YouTube web variety show Pinggyego, hosted on the channel DdeunDdeun, Hwasa appeared as a guest alongside 2PM’s Jang Woo Young, drawing attention with her chic new bob hairstyle.

When Jang Woo Young complimented her look, saying, “That hairstyle really suits you,” Hwasa replied, “It’s been about four years since I’ve had short hair.” Host Yoo Jae Suk then asked if she changed it to match her new song’s concept. Hwasa explained, “Yes, that’s part of it, but honestly, long hair was starting to feel suffocating. I had it for too long, so I just wanted to cut it all off. I even wanted to cut it as short as Woo Young’s, but my hairstylist strongly objected.”

Jang Woo Young agreed, noting that “a sudden change can feel awkward for people to see,” while Hwasa revealed her stylist had a more practical concern “She said it would be too hard to style.” Yoo Jae Suk humorously added, “Sometimes it’s less about what looks good and more about what’s easier to manage.”

During the conversation, Hwasa also playfully mentioned Yoo Jae Suk’s signature hairstyle, saying, “You’ve kept that same look forever.” Yoo Jae Suk responded with a laugh, “You know, Hwasa doesn’t attack hard but her comments linger.”

Previously, Hwasa had teased her transformation on social media, posting photos with the caption “Hair, Good Goodbye,” referencing her new song “Good Goodbye.” The song, released on October 15, marks her official comeback and showcases her sultry yet introspective artistry.
