MAMAMOO’s Hwasa presented a captivating performance at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards.
On July 19th, Hwasa performed her solo song “Maria” at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards. Dressed in a blue-themed outfit, she overwhelmed the atmosphere with her charismatic stage presence and dazzling performance.
Fellow celebrities expressed their admiration while watching Hwasa’s stage. Gabee captured Hwasa’s performance with her phone. Yoo Jae Suk clapped his hands to the rhythm.
EXO D.O. (Do Kyung Soo) especially drew attention as he watched the stage with his mouth wide open, seemingly mesmerized.
After Hwasa’s performance, MC Jun Hyun Moo said, “In the lyrics of ‘Maria,’ there’s a part that says ‘Why bother trying so hard? You’re already beautiful.’ Hearing it here, I feel like it’s a comforting message to the heroines who have struggled with their own wounds in their works.”
Earlier in May, Hwasa delivered a provocative “19+ performance” at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, which led to her being accused of public indecency by the Korean Association of Student Parents and Human Rights Protection.
During that performance, Hwasa sat down with her legs spread open and used her saliva-covered hand to gesture towards a specific body part.
