Episode 29 of MBN and Channel S’s Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3 , which airs on May 1, will follow Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube, also known as Kwak Jun-bin, as they search for hidden restaurants in Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province. Hwang Jae-gyun, who has recently been transitioning from baseball player to entertainer, will join them as the episode’s “food friend.”
When Jun Hyun-moo arrives in Mungyeong, he reacts to the cherry blossoms in full bloom by joking, “Why do I see cherry blossoms with you every year? It’s already been 3 years.” KwakTube fires back, “A lot has changed for me over the past 3 years. Last year, I saw them with my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, and this year, I saw them with my child. You are seeing them every year with me, even though I keep changing.”
The two later choose “joksal jjigae” as their first menu after interviewing locals. Although the unfamiliar dish name leaves them curious at first, they are impressed by the stew made with pork raised on medicinal stone feed. After tasting the dish, Jun Hyun-moo says, “If I lived in Mungyeong, I think I’d come here 3 times a week.”
As the atmosphere warms up, Jun Hyun-moo introduces the day’s guest by saying he is “someone who is trying the hardest to do broadcasts right now.” Hwang Jae-gyun then appears and introduces himself as being “4 months into retirement from baseball.” He also shares his fitness goal, saying, “I’m taking my body profile photos in July for my birthday, so today I can eat and then lose weight later.”
During the episode, Hwang Jae-gyun also makes a bold joke about marriage, saying, “I think I’ll get married faster than Jun Hyun-moo.” Jun Hyun-moo responds with laughter, asking, “Are you saying you’re going to do something twice in a row before I’ve even done it once?”
Hwang Jae-gyun married former T-ara member Jiyeon in 2022, but the couple announced their divorce in 2024.
