Actress Hong Ye-ji returns to the small screen with a new charm through “Love Song for Illusion”

KBS 2TV’s new Mon-Tue drama “Love Song for Illusion”, which is scheduled to premiere in January next year, is a fantasy historical romance based on a webtoon of the same name about a man with two opposite personalities and a woman who loves him.

In the drama, Hong Ye-ji plays Yeonwol, a member of the assassins who unknowingly becomes the Crown Prince’s concubine. The actress is expected to showcase her diverse charms by portraying two different images of one character, such as Yeonwol before losing her memory and the Crown Prince’s concubine after losing memories.

The exclusive poster released on December 5th unveiled Hong Ye-ji showing a charismatic look when wearing intense red outfits and holding a sharp blade. Moreover, the sentence “I’ve been waiting for this day. I’ll take your life” seems to hint at Yeonwol’s fate, which will be deeply intertwined with Sajo Hyun and Ak-hee. It also raises fans’ curiosity about how Hong Ye-ji will portray Yeonwol.

In addition, Hong Ye-ji also impressed viewers with her stable voice tone and natural facial expressions in the script reading video and “Love Song for Illusion” despite being a rookie actress.
