Actress Honey Lee expresses her gratitude to singer-actor Rain for doing her a favor without needing payment.
On the afternoon of April 10th, the press conference of the movie “Killing Romance” took place at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Won Seok and cast members Honey Lee and Lee Sun Kyun attended the event.
At the press conference, Honey Lee (also known as Lee Hanee) revealed that she doesn’t act differently for comedy. “I think I acted the same way even though it’s a comedy. I think comedy should be done with sincerity. Timing, sense, and various other factors need to come together, which makes comedy difficult“, the actress said.
Honey Lee also continued, “As an actor, it’s something that has to be done genuinely, not fake”, emphasizing that “sincerity is the most important” since comedy shouldn’t be done as a joke.”
Afterwards, Honey Lee revealed the story behind the song “Yeo Raeism” for “Killing Romance”, which combines Rain’s hit “Rainism” and her character in “Killing Romance”, Yeo Rae.
Regarding this, Honey Lee expressed her gratitude and said, “Rain gladly recorded it (Yeo Raeism) without payment. I am grateful to the loyal world star Rain”.
“Killing Romance” is a story about a top star, Yeo Rae (Honey Lee), who suddenly retires after falling in love with Jonathan (Lee Sun Kyun), an island country’s chaebol. She later meets a 3-time test-take named Bum Woo (Gong Myung), who is a member of her fanclub.
The movie is scheduled for release on April 14th.
