Appearing on SBS PowerFM’s 12 O’Clock with Joo Hyun-young on July 28, Honey J joined fellow World Street Woman Fighter (WSWF) dancers Aiki, Noze, Rihey, and Hyojin Choi to discuss their journey on Mnet’s fierce dance survival show.

Although Team BUMSUP didn’t make it to the final round, their performance left an undeniable impact. The team’s Mega Crew mission alone garnered over 10 million views within three days, topping YouTube’s trending list and drawing praise from public institutions that hailed the performance as “national treasure-level.” Honey J expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love: “I don’t think something like this will ever happen again.”

Reflecting on the Mega Crew mission, which has become one of the most celebrated acts of the season, Hyojin Choi shared that there were doubts during the process: “Before we saw the final cut, we wondered if it would come together. When it did, it was amazing.” She emphasized the dedication of every dancer involved. Honey J recalled a moment of collective confidence: “After we filmed the top-view scene, all the dancers watched it together. Everyone was saying, ‘This is 1st place for sure.’ We were so proud.”

However, the thrill was tempered by nerves, she admitted: “Since it’s judged relatively, we knew we did well, but we kept thinking, ‘What if the other teams did even better?’” The public reaction was more than they hoped for: “A lot hadn’t been going well before. But the support and love we received really comforted me,” said Honey J, her voice tinged with emotion.

When asked about life after WSWF, Honey J shared a refreshingly honest update: “I’ve been eating and sleeping a lot. The weight I lost has come back.” Her openness struck a chord with fans, especially considering she had previously made headlines for losing 20kg after giving birth. The dancer’s transparency offers a reminder of the physical and emotional toll of high-performance shows—and the healing that follows.

From stunning performances to raw vulnerability, Honey J’s journey on World Street Woman Fighter has resonated deeply with fans. Even without a final win, she—and Team BUMSUP—walked away with something more enduring: admiration, pride, and a renewed sense of purpose.
