As the character required an actor who could rap and dance, director Hwang Dong Hyuk personally cast T.O.P for the role.

T.O.P made his screen debut in the 2013 film “Commitment.” Afterwards, he received recognition for his acting skills by starring in the movie “Tazza: The Hidden Card”.

However, in October 2016, T.O.P faced a major scandal when he was charged with smoking marijuana and received a suspended sentence.

Ultimately, he declared his departure from BIGBANG and hinted at retirement from the entertainment industry. But by being included in the casting lineup for “Squid Game 2,” he announced his acting comeback.
