Heo Chan-mi, who made her debut as a member of the group COED SCHOOL in 2010, later attracted attention by appearing on Mnet’s survival audition program “Produce 101.”

Heo Chan-mi talked about the unfair part when she appeared on “Produce 101.” Recalling her first meeting with other cast members, she said, “I greeted everyone with 90-degree bows then. But that part disappeared and what appeared on broadcast made me look like someone who didn’t greet anyone back,” she implicitly talked about the possible evil editing.

In addition, Heo Chan-mi made a mistake when performing Girls’ Generation’s “Into the New World” in the 3rd episode’s team battle of “Produce 101,” which was repeatedly replayed on broadcast, sparking controversy over her skills.

However, Heo Chan-mi said she was unable to sing due to vocal cord nodules at the time. She told the members, “I definitely cannot sing this part,” after which they changed parts and finished practicing but was told she had to sing that part. “After that stage incident, I was so afraid to stand on stage to such an extent that I had even decided not to sing anymore,” she confessed.

In particular, the moment of her staring at the opponent’s stage at the time was also maliciously edited, adding to her personality controversy. In response, Heo Chan-mi said, “I was monitoring my rehearsal video, but it was broadcast like I was staring at the other team,” and added, “After that, when I searched for Heo Chan-mi, ‘personality’ appeared in the related search word.”

After appearing on Produce 101, she has had a long break. Heo Chan-mi said, “I have something like a social phobia. I has received a lot of malicious comments. I didn’t leave my room because I didn’t want to meet people. My mom was so worried that she opened the door to check on me every 30 minutes. She was worried that I would have negative thoughts in my head,” she said, sharing her difficult times.
