Heated Debate Over Jung Hae In & Jung So Min’s ‘Love Next Door’ Bed Scene

The bed scene between actors Jung Hae In and Jung So Min from "Love Next Door" is receiving negative reactions

In the 13th episode of the tvN weekend drama “Love Next Door,” which aired on the 28th, the first night of Choi Seung Hyo (played by Jung Hae In) and Bae Seok Ryu (played by Jung So Min) was depicted.

In the scene, the two lie side by side in bed, exchanging sweet lines while gazing at each other. Dialogues such as, “Why are you staring at me like that?” and “Just, this moment feels like a dream. I can’t believe it,” were exchanged, attempting to portray the atmosphere after their first night together.

However, the response was not positive. Both actors appeared awkward, lying under a blanket with their shoulders exposed, without changing their posture for over two minutes, which broke the immersion.

Although the scene was supposed to depict longtime friends becoming lovers and sharing their first night together, the atmosphere was not conveyed at all. Viewers focused on the actors’ stiff and uncomfortable postures. Reactions such as, “Who talks lying this far apart?” and “The posture is too modest,” were widespread, attributing the awkwardness to poor direction.

“Love Next Door” is a romance about a woman trying to reboot her flawed life and the chaotic journey with her “mom’s friend’s son,” her living embarrassing past. It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM.
