“He even makes money here?”, Advertisement of Yoo Jae Suk spotted at an unexpected place

“Running Man” members found an advertising poster modeled by Yoo Jae Suk at a gas station.

SBS’s entertainment program “Running Man” aired its new episode on March 19th.

On the broadcast, Yoo Jae Suk showed his extraordinary popularity to the point where his poster was even seen hanging in a gas station he visited.

The members traveled to Dongducheon, and local people surprised them with their bright tension and enthusiastic welcome. Seeing Dongducheon people greeting their guests using business English, “Running Man members commented, “Maybe there are a lot of comedians here since everyone has the MBTI trait E”. Ji Seok Jin added, “Let’s greet everyone brightly.” In response, Yoo Jae Suk exposed Ji Seok-jin, saying, “He always greets people he meets on the street in a very low voice. It depends on the presence of cameras. He pretends he doesn’t see others if there’s no camera around.” Ji Seok Jin defended himself, saying “People usually see Jae Suk and greet him first. I’m quite shy”.

While moving to the destination in a car, the members realized that the fuel was running out and they could only drive 1km more although there was still 8km to go. Therefore, they visited a gas station. Seeing an advertising poster of Yoo Jae Suk at the gas station, Ji Seok Jin commented, “This guy is making money here, too?”, drawing laughter.

Earlier, Yoo Jae Suk made headlines when he admitted, “I am rich”, on a past broadcast of “Running Man”. It is known that Yoo Jae Suk’s variety show appearance fee is around 15 million won per episode. His broadcasting salary can reach 27 billion won per year. In addition, his advertising fee is 600-700 million won per ad, adding up to a total of 5.6 billion won per year.

Even with a simple calculation, Yoo Jae Suk’s annual income is estimated to reach 83 billion won. However, distorted stories, such as “he owns 1 trillion won in property” or “his property is 456 billion won”, have been circulating and gaining attention.
