Recently, the YouTube channel Exclusive World – That Person From Back Then uploaded a video titled “Harisu’s Heartbreaking Story Of Dreaming About Marriage And Childbirth But Never Becoming A Mother.” The clip was a re-edited version of Harisu’s story that originally aired on Exclusive World in July 2021.
In the video, Harisu welcomed the production crew alongside her 16 dogs. Introducing them affectionately, she said, “These are my sons, daughters, and grandchildren.” Harisu’s mother later described her daughter as the family’s “most heartbreaking child.” She explained, “She can’t have children. Everything else is normal, but pregnancy is the one thing she cannot do.”

Harisu candidly shared, “I always dreamed about having a child with the person I loved.” She then revealed that she had once seriously considered a uterus transplant. “People who transition from female to male often have their uterus removed, so I even thought about the possibility of a transplant,” she explained.

She continued, “At first, pregnancy was completely impossible for me. But once I heard there might be even the slightest chance, I became even more desperate to try.” However, she admitted that reality was much more difficult than she had hoped, saying, “It wasn’t as simple as it sounded.”
Harisu also opened up about the painful reason behind her divorce from ex-husband Micky Jung. Fighting back tears, she explained, “He was the only son in his family. The family line would end with me.” She further revealed how emotionally difficult those years had been, adding, “Whenever dark thoughts crossed my mind, I endured them by thinking about my mother.”

Born in 1975, Harisu debuted in 2001 through a television commercial for DoDo cosmetics. She later built her music career with songs such as Temptation, Foxy Lady, and Make Your Life.
At the time, Harisu became widely known as one of South Korea’s first openly transgender celebrities. In 2007, she married singer Micky Jung, and the couple received massive public attention as the country’s first high-profile transgender married couple. Even after marriage, they were often praised for their loving relationship, but in 2017, the pair announced their mutual divorce after 10 years together, leaving many fans saddened.
