Hani’s silence seems to be because of the controversy over a patient’s death at her groom-to-be Yang Jae-woong’s hospital. In particular, A, a woman in her 30s, was found dead at the mental hospital run by Yang Jae-woong in July.
A was hospitalized to treat addiction to dieting pills containing drugs but died after 17 days due to pseudo-intestinal obstruction. The bereaved family filed a criminal complaint with the Korea National Human Rights Commission against Yang Jae-woong and other medical staff on charges of professional negligence.
As the video recorded the scene at the hospital spread, netizens poured criticism on Yang Jae-woong. As a result, he released an apology via his agency Mystic Story.
