Sad news of celebrities’ injuries continues to be reported.
Singer-actress Jung Chae-yeon reportedly fell down the stairs while filming MBC’s ongoing drama “The Golden Spoon” on September 10th and was revealed to have a fractured collarbone and symptoms of a concussion.
Actress Han So-hee concerned fans as she injured her face while filming an action scene for tvN’s new series “Gyeongseong Creature”.
In July, two actors were injured when a stage device collapsed during the performance of the musical “MATA HARI”.
Meanwhile, another star recently caused fans to worry as she had an injury while performing on the stage.
On September 24th, Wheein suffered an eye injury while taking the stage at the 2022 Incheon Airport Sky Festival in Incheon.
Wheein was startled as firecracker dust went into her eyes, making her leave her position for a while in the middle of the performance.
The female idol tried to open her eyes and continue the performance, but the pain seemed to be very serious. Wheein was later seen trying hard to sing with her eyes closed.
Wheein’s agency THE L1VE LABEL said, “Wheein complained of the pain in her eyes caused by the substance from the stage effect divide while completing her schedule”. After the performance, Wheein immediately visited the hospital and received precise treatment for her eyes.
THE L1VE LABEL stated, “As a result of the medical treatment, she was revealed to have a wound in her corneal, which was caused by foreign substances”. The agency also reassured fans, saying Wheein was stabilizing after receiving treatment and medication.
Announcing that they would inform fans in a separate notice if there is any change in Wheein’s schedule, THE L1VE LABEL apologized, “We’re sorry for causing concerns to Moomoos (MAMAMOO’s fandom name), who always cheer and support Wheein, with this unexpected incident”.
The agency also promised to consider Wheein’s health as the top priority and let her make a complete recovery before proceeding with schedules.
Meanwhile, Wheein, who was born in 1995 and is 28 years old this year, made her debut as a member of MAMAMOO in 2014. The girl group became popular after releasing numerous hit songs, such as “Decalcomanie”, “HIP”, “Starry Night”, “Um Oh Ah Yeh”, “You’re the Best”, etc.
Wheein was the last member of MAMAMOO to make her solo debut in April last year. She won her first music show No.1 on Mnet’s “M Countdown” with “Make Me Happy”, the title song of her second solo album “WHEE” in January this year.
Wheein recently released the OST “The Only One Have To Forget” for the famous dating reality program “Transit Love 2”.
