Han Seo Hee, who “administered methamphetamine”, was also sentenced to prison on the third charge

Han Seo Hee, a former singer trainee who drew attention by claiming that she was threatened by former YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk, failed to avoid a prison sentence on her third drug use charge.

On March 21st, the 2nd Division of the Supreme Court finally dismissed Han Seo Hee‘s appeal related to her alleged violation of the Narcotics Control Act.

Earlier, the 8th Criminal Division of Seoul Eastern District Court sentenced Han Seo Hee to 6 months in prison in September 2022 on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. At that time, the prosecution requested a sentence of 1 year and 6 months in prison for Han Seo Hee at the final trial in August 2022.

In July 2021, Han Seo Hee was accused of administering methamphetamine at an officetel in Jungnang-gu, Seoul. After smoking cannabis in 2016, she was caught using methamphetamine in June 2020, when she was on probation. She reportedly took methamphetamine while on trial again.

During the trial, Han Seo Hee claimed that she did not take drugs. However, the court said, “48 syringes at the site tested positive for methamphetamine, and 10 of them were confirmed to have Han Seo Hee’s blood. The defendant committed another drug crime during the probation period despite having a history of being punished for the same crime.“

However, both Han Seo Hee and the prosecution objected and appealed. In the subsequent appeal trial, the 3rd Criminal Division of the Seoul Eastern District Court dismissed both sides’ appeals in January. Han Seo Hee did not accept the second trial ruling, leading the case to the Supreme Court.
