Halle Bailey read picture book featuring a black mermaid to children, said the reaction was good

As Disney’s live-action version for “The Little Mermaid” is set to be released soon, its main actress, Halle Bailey, has shared her recent activities.

On April 11th (local time), Halle Bailey posted several photos and videos on her official Instagram, sharing her thoughts on the Easter event at the White House. In a video, the singer-actress can be seen reading a fairytale book to children, drawing attention.

The book that Halle Bailey read to the children that day was a picture book that contained the story of Disney’s reinterpreted live-action film “The Little Mermaid”. In the published photos, a picture book titled “The Little Mermaid: Make A Splash”, and an illustration of a black mermaid can be seen on the cover.

Regarding this activity, Halle Bailey said, “Today, I feel so honored to have been invited to the White House this Easter to read to the children ‘The Little Mermaid: Make a Splash’. This was my first time ever reading this book in person and watching the kids’ reaction to the story was my favorite part of it all…”
