Ha Ji-won Reveals Popularity During School Days & Reason She Refused To Act With Lee Seo-jin
Actress Ha Ji-won shared various talks with Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho on “You Quiz on the Block”
Ha Ji-won guested on episode 221 of tvN’s entertainment program “You Quiz on the Block”, which aired on November 29th.
On the broadcast, Yoo Jae-suk jokingly told Ha Ji-won, “We invited you after seeing your Slick Back Challenge video”. Jo Se-ho added, “You really came here today as a Slick Back master, not an actress”, drawing laughter.
Looking at Ha Ji-won’s Slick Back video, Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho found out that she filmed it at a studio. In response, the actress shared, “I’ve been painting and doing exhibitions since earlier this year”, adding “Ever since I was young, I’ve always expressed my thoughts, dreams and concerns in pictures or sketchbooks. I started working on paintings four years ago.”
Ha Ji-won entered the entertainment industry as an entertainment company contacted her after seeing her studio photos at the recommendation of her high school teacher. It is known that she was very famous among male students because of her beauty.
Revealing anecdotes of her school days, the actress shared, “I was very grateful to the male students. After transferring from Seoul to Suwon, I often took the bus to school because it was very far away. When I slept on the bus, the boys always woke me up, saying ‘It’s time to get off the bus’”, adding “The school I transferred to used different textbooks. Some male students brought their books and gave them to me in the private study room. I couldn’t forget these two memories”.
One of Ha Ji-won’s representative dramas is definitely “Damo”. At that time, she even volunteered to complete the stunt scenes all by herself. When her collaboration with Lee Seo-jin in this drama was mentioned, she hesitated and said, “I think he would scold me.”
She continued, “He teased me a lot. Whenever we were together, he kept teasing me. So I told the director, ‘I can’t act with him because he kept teasing me’. I was too young so I couldn’t understand jokes or anything like that. He (Lee Seo-jin) explained that he just wanted to get close to me, but I said, ‘I can’t act with you because you kept teasing me’”, unveiling a pleasant behind-the-scenes story.
