GOT7’s BamBam Cancels US Tour Due To Worsening Ankle Injury

On January 26th, BamBam’s agency ABYSS Company released a notice, saying “BamBam’s ‘The First World Tour: Area 52’ shows in the US scheduled to be held from the 10th and 24th of February have inevitably been canceled due to the artist’s worsening ankle injury”.

The agency explained, “With high expectations for his upcoming US tour, BamBam has been preparing a new song that he would introduce in the US for the first time. However, the artist’s ankle injury worsened in the process of the new song practices.”

ABYSS continued, “After numerous discussions, we reached a conclusion that sticking to the original schedule would be inappropriate for the artist’s health, leading to the difficult decision to cancel the US tour”, adding “We sincerely thank all the fans who have shown much interest, and we sincerely apologize for your disappointment regarding the cancelation of the highly anticipated tour. We will prioritize the artist’s health first so that he can meet fans again at the remaining shows of the tour.”

In addition, BamBam made an apology through his own channel, saying “I’m very sorry that I couldn’t take enough care of myself”.

BamBam opened “The First World Tour: Area 52” with the Seoul show at the Olympic Hall in September last year. Since then, he has been touring Asia countries, including the Philippines, Macau, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Japan.

His US tour was planned to begin with Oakland on February 10th and continue in 6 cities, including LA, Dallas, Chicago, Washington and New York.
