GOT7 Youngjae explained his Bruno Mars’ concert ticket amid “special privilege controversy”

Youngjae, a member of boy group GOT7, provided evidence of his Bruno Mars’ concert ticket amidst “special privilege controversy”.

On June 19th, GOT7 Youngjae published a message via a fan communication platform, saying, “Oh, just in case, I bought a ticket myself. Including delivery and handling fees, it cost 162,000 won!!”

In addition, Youngjae posted photos on his SNS story, including a shot of the concert from a distance and of his ticket, along with the caption, “It was so amazing. I held it tightly because I was afraid of losing it.”

It seems that his statement was made in explanation of him attending the Bruno Mars concert in Korea, especially amid an ongoing “special privilege controversy”.

Meanwhile, on June 17th and 18th, Bruno Mars held his first concert in Korea after 9 years at Seoul Olympic Stadium, attracting over 100,000 audiences. 

Famous Korean celebrities also attended the concert, but there was controversy surrounding the competition for the coveted front-row seats. In particular, most of the front-row seats were occupied by celebrities, raising suspicions that they received special privileges through excessive invitation tickets provided by the organizers.

Meanwhile, ordinary audiences faced significant disadvantages, including restricted views and obstructed walls. As a result, the concert organizers were accused of favoring celebrities.

In response, Hyundai Card, the organizer, stated that the number of invitation tickets are. “Celebrities who visited the concert either received invitation tickets directly from the artists or purchased tickets through their agencies. Hyundai Card does not independently invite celebrities”, they also said.
