On February 27, a video titled “The Story I’m Revealing for the First Time – What Goo Hye Sun Thought the Moment She Jumped” was uploaded to the YouTube channel Sebasi Talk. In the video, Goo Hye Sun opened up about a time when she felt emotionally overwhelmed.
“There was a period when I was going through an extremely difficult time,” she began. “It was a time when I truly thought, ‘I want to die.’”
She recalled that while driving one day, she noticed a parachute descending in the distance. “Someone was skydiving. The moment I saw it, I impulsively thought, ‘I should try that too,’” she said.

Goo Hye Sun eventually went to a skydiving site. “There were seven of us in the helicopter,” she explained. “Everyone seemed like they were carrying their own stories. It almost felt like a gathering of people who wanted to die.”
Although she boarded the helicopter with thoughts of wanting to end her life, everything changed the moment it was time to jump. “When I was about to leap, countless voices inside me were screaming at once that they wanted to live,” she confessed. “The instant I jumped, I desperately wanted to live. In those few seconds, I realized something I wasn’t someone who truly wanted to die.”

After landing safely, she and the other six participants embraced each other, shouting, “We’re so glad we survived.” She described the moment as a strange but powerful sense of solidarity among them.
Reflecting on the experience, Goo Hye Sun shared that it completely altered her attitude toward life. “Now, I believe that things turn out the way you believe they will,” she said. “Before trusting others, you have to trust yourself. I think you need to become your own closest friend.”
Her heartfelt confession resonated with viewers, offering a powerful reminder about self-belief and the will to live even in the darkest moments.
