A preview released by the “Radio Star” team features Goo Hye Sun alongside Lee Geum Hee, Yeom Kyung Hwan, and Jeon Min Ki for a special episode titled “As You Speak.” Staying true to the concept, Goo Hye Sun shared how her spoken affirmations have come true.

“I said I’d compose 50 songs, I’d hold an art exhibition, and that I’d graduate top of my class,” she said, adding proudly, “I did all of it, and I even received a patent award.” She also surprised viewers by revealing her unexpected comedic side: “I was actually in a comedy club back in the day.”

Her appearance marks her first return to Radio Star since January 2025, when she was criticized for wearing a hat during the recording. At the time, Goo explained, “My boiler broke, so I couldn’t wash my hair. The PD asked if I could take off the hat, but I wasn’t in a situation where I could.” Some netizens accused her of showing a poor attitude despite her explanation.

In response, Goo Hye Sun had defended herself, saying, “Wearing a beanie on a variety show isn’t disrespectful or rude it’s my freedom. Still, I appreciate the feedback.” The post was later deleted. She then pushed back playfully by uploading 15 photos of herself in different hats, captioning the collection “My hat, my freedom.”

Beyond entertainment, Goo Hye Sun has been making impressive strides academically. After re-entering Sungkyunkwan University in 2020, she graduated at the top of her class and was admitted to KAIST Graduate School of Science Journalism in 2024, pursuing a master’s degree in engineering.

During her graduate studies, she developed an eco-friendly hair roller named KooRoll, which earned her an Outstanding Patent Award last year. Most recently, on January 8, she announced her early graduation from KAIST, adding another milestone to her ever-evolving resume.
