Actors Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin are strong candidates for lead roles in Netflix’s new drama “Trunk”.
On Feb 20th, the agency Management SOOP told “Dispatch”, “Actors Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin received an offer to appear in ‘Trunk’ and are positively reviewing it.”
“Trunk” is a series about NM, a fixed-term marriage service agency that sets up marriage life with the spouse one desires. It is based on the novel of the same name.
Seo Hyun Jin is expected to play Noh In Ji, NM’s deputy director and a person who likes staying single. Gong Yoo is considering the role of music producer Han Jung Won. He believes that all the marriages in the world are deceits.
K-drama fans’ reactions are already explosive. They are raising expectations for Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin, who are under the same company, to show fresh chemistry.
Meanwhile, PD Kim Kyu Tae will be in charge of directing “Trunk”. Kim PD is a veteran director who was behind the success of “Our Blues”, “It’s Okay, That’s Love”, and “Iris”. The script will be written by Park Eun Young.
