On July 26, Gong Yoo posted a snapshot of the coffee truck on his social media with the caption, “I mean, I’m thankful but…”, teasing the gesture in his characteristic dry humor. The coffee truck, sent by the Trunk production team in collaboration with Seo Hyun-jin, was delivered to support Gong Yoo’s filming for Show Business (tentative title).
A highlight of the truck was a printed KakaoTalk exchange between the two stars. Gong Yoo had warned, “Don’t send a coffee truck. I won’t even accept it,” to which Seo Hyun-jin replied playfully, “Too bad. Then you’re the only one not allowed to have any.” The banter revealed their lighthearted dynamic and mutual fondness.

Adding to the fun, Song Hye-kyo, another lead in the drama, shared a photo of cookies featuring Gong Yoo’s face on her own social media and captioned it, “Dongbaragi” — a humorous Korean pun meaning “someone who only looks at Dong-wook” (Gong Yoo’s real name is Gong Ji-cheol, but the pun plays off similar word sounds).

Show Business is directed by Lee Yoon-jung, known for hits like Coffee Prince and Cheese in the Trap, and penned by acclaimed writer Noh Hee-kyung, who brought audiences emotional dramas such as That Winter, the Wind Blows and Our Blues. The ensemble cast also includes Kim Seol-hyun, Cha Seung-won, and Lee Honey, making it one of the most anticipated series in Netflix Korea’s upcoming lineup.
With heartwarming friendships and playful interactions already on display behind the scenes, Show Business is shaping up to be just as charming off-screen as it promises to be on.
