Actress Go Min-si’s activities have been temporarily halted after testing positive for Type A Influenza
Go Min-si, who is an ambassador for a fashion brand, was unable to attend a scheduled photowall event at 11 AM on Dec 15th.
The PR agency stated, “Due to being diagnosed with Type A Influenza, Go Min-si has unavoidably canceled her appearance at the photowall event. We apologize for causing confusion with this sudden schedule change. We ask for your understanding.”
Type A Influenza, for which Go Min-si tested positive, is an acute respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. It has been spreading recently.
Human influenza is classified into types A and B, with type A having more severe symptoms. Symptoms include headaches, high fever, muscle pain, chills, runny nose, cough, sore throat, diarrhea and abdominal pain.
Type A Influenza has a very strong infectivity, and it can be transmitted by direct contact with an infected person or through objects. It can also spread through respiratory droplets when coughing, sneezing or talking.
While not mandatory, recommendations after confirmation include refraining from going outside and isolation for about 7 days, considering the incubation period.
With the intensifying spread of the flu, the entertainment industry is also seeing an increase in confirmed cases.

Rapper-producer Gray (Lee Seong-hwa) was also hospitalized for influenza on Dec 11th.
Concert cancellations occurred as well. Three out of five members of girl group LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha) were diagnosed with Type A Influenza. They announced the cancellation of the concert scheduled in Bangkok, Thailand one day before the event in October.
According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, to prevent the spread of the flu, individuals should adhere to personal hygiene rules such as frequent handwashing and wearing masks. It is recommended to cover the mouth when coughing, avoid gatherings and refrain from using shared items.
Meanwhile, Go Min-si (born in 1995) debuted as an actress through SBS’s drama “My Sassy Girl” in 2017.
She has showcased her acting skills in various works such as “Hello, My Twenties! 2”, “Meloholic”, “Cheese in the Trap”, “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion”, “Live”, “The Battle: Roar to Victory”, “Love Alarm”, “Secret Boutique”, “Sweet Home”, “Youth of May”, “Jirisan”, “Smugglers”…
She also appeared in Netflix’s original drama “Sweet Home 2”, which was released on Dec 1st.
