She expressed, “Tokyo has always been like that. I always felt rushed and ended up having to leave as if I were being chased away. Despite promising myself to return next time, it took 9 years until that ‘next time’. Even now, 9 years later, I haven’t truly been able to travel around Tokyo.

Go Hyun-jung continued in the epilogue, “In 1995, I left the entertainment industry, got married, and started my newlywed life in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. I lived there for nearly three years. I didn’t know anyone, any places, or have anywhere to go. I was too shy to do anything outside alone, so I mostly stayed at home during my free time. Whether I was with someone or not, I spent a lot of time alone.”

She added, “It was in Tokyo that I started doing many things alone, like eating by myself and shopping alone. It took courage to endure the time in Tokyo, where I was alone despite being with someone.”

Previously, in 1995, Go Hyun-jung married Chung Yong-jin, the chairman of Shinsegae, and they had a son and a daughter. However, the couple divorced in 2003, and Chung Yong-jin obtained custody of their children.
