On March 24, Go Hyun Jung reposted a photo originally shared by Kim Dong Ha’s mother on her personal account. The image captured a sweet moment between the two during filming, accompanied by a heartfelt message that read, “I love you. I sincerely hope you grow up healthy and become a wonderful actor,” followed by the signature, “Go Hyun Jung from ‘Reflection of You.’ Your mom, Hee-joo.”
Kim Dong Ha’s mother also added the caption, “Five years passed in the blink of an eye,” while Go Hyun Jung left a simple message, “Dong Ha,” reflecting the enduring bond between them. The two previously worked together as mother and son in the 2021 JTBC drama Reflection of You.
Go Hyun Jung has also made headlines in the past for her kindness toward child actors. In September last year, a story resurfaced about her saving a young actor during a seaside shoot. The mother of child actor Jo Se Woong shared that while filming near the ocean, her excited six-year-old son ran toward the water when a sudden wave nearly swept him away. She recalled that Go Hyun Jung rushed over “like lightning” and rescued him, expressing deep gratitude for the actress’s quick and selfless action.
Go Hyun Jung, who married Chung Yong-jin of the Shinsegae Group in 1995 and stepped away from the entertainment industry, divorced after eight years in 2003. During her appearance on the 2024 tvN show You Quiz on the Block, she opened up about her children, saying many people are curious whether she still sees them. She candidly shared, “A mother should feel comfortable, but when I realized we don’t live together and aren’t close, it made me deeply sad,” a confession that moved many viewers.
