Go Ara shot to fame in 2003 when she emerged victorious in the “SM Youth Best Contest”, a fiercely competitive audition with 8,000 contestants vying for a single spot. She swept the categories, winning “Best Face”, “Best Dance”, and the overall “Grand Prize”.

Recently, her agency, King Kong by Starship, announced, “Go Ara has confirmed her role in the TVing original series “The Love Story of Choon Hwa” (written by Seo Eun-jung, directed by Lee Kwang-young).”

“The Love Story of Choon Hwa” is a historical romance drama that follows Princess Hwa-ri, a royal who ventures into the world to find true love and personally select her husband herself.

Go Ara will portray the free-spirited Princess Hwa-ri, a character who actively pursues love and carves out an independent life for herself. Viewers can expect to see Go Ara showcase a wide range of acting skills as her character interacts with various suitors, including the first potential husband candidate Choi Hwan (played by Jang Ryul), elite Sungkyunkwan scholar Jang Won (played by Chani), and her older brother, Crown Prince Seung (played by Son Woo-hyun).
