“Giselle Deserves Better” Fans Demand Fair Line and Screen Time Distribution for aespa’s Giselle 

Fans are calling out SM on unfair treatment towards Giselle during aespa’s latest comeback

Following the release of aespa’s new title track “Drama” on November 10, fans have been trending the hashtag #GiselleDeservesBetter on Twitter to address concerns about SM Entertainment’s alleged unfair treatment of Giselle.

In particular, despite being the group’s main rapper, Giselle has the least and shockingly no proper rap lines in “Drama”. Moreover, most of Giselle’s lines are adlibs. She also only has 30 seconds of screen time in the “Drama” MV. 

Fans are expressing their discontent with comments such as:

• “All Giselle’s lines are shared with other members, it’s really frustrating.”
• “SM, give Giselle the recognition she deserves as the main rapper. Treat her fairly.”
• “Giselle’s potential in rap and vocals is significant, but SM is hindering her and keeping her in the background.”
• “Why have positions in the group if they’re not adhered to? Why assign rap lines to vocalists?”
• “Distributing lines for a 4-member girl group shouldn’t be difficult. Giselle, as the main rapper, deserves more.”
• “SM, stop the unfair treatment! We demand more screen time and proper rap lines for Giselle to showcase her talent.”
