(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi & Shuhua Mad at Cube? Concerning SNS Update

The recent SNS updates of (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi and Shuhua are drawing significant attention among Chinese netizens.

The girl group (G)I-DLE recently announced their seventh mini-album “I SWAY,” marking their summer comeback with the release scheduled for 6 PM (KST) on July 8. This announcement has excited many fans, especially with an accompanying tour.

However, on the 5th, Chinese member Song Yuqi unexpectedly published a cryptid SNS update, causing concern among fans. Following this, Taiwanese member Shuhua also reposted it, raising concerns about their relationship with their management company.

In particular Yuqi shared two images from the Japanese animated series “Doraemon” with captions stating, “An amazing attitude: I don’t want it anymore” and “No more entangling with worthless people and things.” These posts quickly became a hot topic online. Shuhua then reposted these same images in her Instagram stories, leading many netizens to speculate whether it is related to CUBE Entertainment recently incorporating various projects into (G)I-DLE’s trademark properties.

Many netizens who speculate the posts are related to their company expressed their sympathy for the two members, with comments like “Cherish life, stay away from CUBE,” “The two of them must have been really hurt this time. What is the company doing to them?” and “Yuqi usually shares good news and hides bad ones; this time, CUBE must have treated her particularly badly.”

However, some netizens believe it may not be related to the company, suggesting that the two might have coincidentally shared their feelings over some personal distress.
