On August 3rd and 4th, (G)I-DLE held their concert “2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL] IN SEOUL” at KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Just before the concert ended, the members of (G)I-DLE expressed their gratitude to fans and shared their thoughts.
Soyeon, in particular, confessed, “This morning was my grandmother’s funeral. I wasn’t able to fully attend the funeral.“

She expressed her deep affection, “I’ve always wanted to be a good granddaughter, but I was so busy with work that I couldn’t be there for her. My grandmother was the person I loved the most.”
Soyeon went on to say “I feel sorry for not being able to take better care of my parents. From now on, I want to be a good daughter who can work hard and take care of my family. Mom and Dad, I love you and thank you so much“, conveying her love for her parents.
After sharing her thoughts, Soyeon turned around and began to cry. The other (G)I-DLE members embraced her to offer comfort.
Fans in the audience also showed their support, chanting “Jeon Soyeon” in unison. Member Minnie remarked, “Our leader may seem strong, but she’s just like the rest of us.”
Many netizens reacted, “Her grandmother would be so proud“, “It must have been so hard for her” and “I was shocked to see Soyeon cry for the first time.”
Following their Seoul concert, (G)I-DLE is set to meet global fans with their “2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL]” in 14 cities around the world, including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Tacoma, Oakland, Anaheim, Houston, Rosemont, Belmont Park, Taipei, Bangkok, Macau, Melbourne and Sydney.
