Famous pop star Ice Spice is facing accusations of plagiarizing the music video for the (G)I-DLE title “Nxde”.
Recently on July 26, American rapper Ice Spire dropped the MV for her latest title, “Oh Shhh…”. However, the MV quickly face plagiarisms accusations as netizens point out its similarities with (G)I-DLE’s “Nxde” MV.
In particular, in the “Nxde” MV, there is a scene where Soyeon stood in a museum glass case while wearing an intricate white outfit, observed by disgruntled people around her.
Meanwhile, the “Oh Shhh…” MV also features a shot of Ice Spice, dressed in another white outfit, standing against the similar backdrop of a glass enclosure and dissatisfied spectators inside a museum.
Additionally, the editing and transition also share common elements, causing fans to strongly believe that Ice Spice’s MV team have copied (G)I-DLE.
However, others argue that the kind of props and transitions used in the 2 MVs are not exactly unique, claiming that they have appeared in various other videos in the past.
