(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon Apologizes to BTS’s Jungkook for an Incident from 1 Year Ago

Recently, Miyeon, a member of the group (G)I-DLE, appeared in a live broadcast alongside juniors Sohee (RIIZE), Hanbin (ZEROBASEONE), and Jaehyun (BOYNEXTDOOR). With her prior experience hosting music shows, Miyeon shared many interesting stories during the livestream.

Notably, the female idol recalled a “once-in-a-lifetime” incident involving Jungkook from BTS. She shared, “When senior Jungkook just won the weekly cup, his trophy broke in half and rolled on the floor. I was so shocked at that moment!”

Immediately, netizens recalled the iconic moment on July 7, 2023, when Jungkook surpassed NewJeans to win with his solo single “SEVEN.” After the results were announced, the trophy in Miyeon’s hand suddenly broke in half and fell to the ground, causing the idol to be quite startled but she quickly regained her composure.

Of course, Jungkook was aware of this “incident” but humorously said, “ARMY, thank you for bringing me to number one on M Countdown! Thanks to everyone, I’ve won first place on M Countdown twice! Hehe. Did I watch it live? I saw the trophy break and fall to the ground. Haha, thank you all so much!”

Over a year later, Miyeon took the opportunity to apologize to Jungkook when recalling this awkward situation, saying, “Let me apologize once again. It was truly a memorable experience!”
