(G)I-DLE Takes Legal Action against Sexual Harassment and False Information, No Leniency

Girl group (G)I-DLE, who is suffering from the spread of sexual harassment and false information, decides to take legal action. 

On February 15th, Cube Entertainment, the agency representing (G)I-DLE released an official statement regarding the girl group’s current situation and actions.

“Hello, this is Cube Entertainment.

Recently, there has been a rampant occurrence of malicious posts and comments that slander our artists, spread false information, invade privacy, engage in sexual harassment, and disseminate false productions, damaging the image and honor of our artists.

Therefore, we will prevent any infringement on the smooth activities and rights of our artists through fans’ reports, continuous internal monitoring, and data collection. We plan to take strong civil and criminal measures through a professional law firm, and we want to reiterate that there will be no leniency or agreement in this process.

If fans discover any illegal acts related to the above, we ask for active reporting to our official accounts.

We sincerely thank all the fans who continue to support and love (G)I-DLE, and we will do our best to protect the rights of our artists in the future.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE made a comeback on January 29 with their second full-length album, “[2]”.
