G-Dragon’s recommendation for drug-related book “I hope we can create a peaceful world where one doesn’t doubt themselves”
On Jan 25th, it was revealed that G-Dragon personally left a recommendation for a book dealing with “Youth and Drugs”.
G-Dragon stated, “Prejudice blocks the path of healing and change. To solve the root of the problem, we must start with positivity through prevention and education, rather than law and punishment.“
He added, “I hope through this book, readers can deeply empathize with the dangers of drugs and focus on healing. I want to convey messages of prevention and healing through music. I hope this book spreads widely and we can create a peaceful world where one doesn’t doubt themselves at the end of each day, feeling like a test.”
Under the recommendation, “Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon)” is introduced along with his name as a singer, music producer and founder of the JUSPEACE Foundation, attracting attention.
G-Dragon was booked for drug use allegations last year but was ultimately cleared of charges through a non-indictment decision.
Despite facing suspicions through gestures, speech, etc. on various places like YouTube and communities, he participated in media interviews to clarify and voluntarily attended police investigations to demonstrate his innocence.
After the conclusion of the case, G-Dragon announced the establishment of a drug foundation called the JUSPEACE Foundation.
He expressed his intention to actively engage in eradicating and eliminating drugs for vulnerable and misguided youth. He said, “I want to stand beside those who experience unfair events due to their lack of strength and fulfill a systemic role as someone’s older brother, younger brother or colleague to protect them.”
He emphasized, “By planting seeds through such activities, we can create a dream of a prejudice-free world by spreading campaigns for peace and a bias-free Earth, empathizing with various activities with many excellent fellow artists and fans worldwide.”
G-Dragon, who announced his commitment to drug eradication and prevention for a world that doubted him, is receiving even more support not only for the establishment of the foundation but also for his genuine and quiet actions.
