On the night of October 20, G-Dragon officially kicked off Phase 4 of his Übermensch World Tour with an encore concert in Osaka, Japan. The K-pop legend stunned audiences with extravagant new stage outfits and his signature artistic flair. However, the excitement was marred by a shocking incident that left fans in disbelief—G-Dragon was struck in the face by an object thrown from the audience during the show.
The incident occurred while G-Dragon was riding a stage cart, interacting with fans up close. A foreign object suddenly flew from the stands and hit him squarely in the face. Captured by numerous fan cameras, the footage spread rapidly across social media. His startled and confused expression drew concern from viewers, although he quickly composed himself, offered a faint smile, and continued performing with professionalism.
The fanbase reacted with outrage. Many condemned the act as not only disrespectful but also dangerously irresponsible. While tossing items like plush toys, letters, or flowers onto K-pop stages has been a common (albeit risky) gesture, throwing objects directly at artists is universally condemned.
In G-Dragon’s case, the item could have caused injury and clearly disrupted the emotional atmosphere of the night. Fans called for tighter security measures at future tour stops to ensure the safety of both performers and audience members.

Despite the incident, G-Dragon delivered a heartfelt message during the concert, expressing deep gratitude and acknowledging the emotional and logistical challenges of this tour:
“This tour, which began in March, is finally nearing its end. Since it’s my first comeback in eight years, I’ve poured everything into every detail not just for myself, but most importantly, for all of you. It’s also the first time I’ve toured with a new team, and we’ve been learning and growing together on the road. I know this may have led to moments that were disappointing or fell short of expectations. So I want to take this moment to sincerely apologize if I made anyone feel sad or alone. After all, I’m just a singer. The only true way I can repay your love is through my music and performances. I promise to keep working hard to be a better artist someone who won’t let you down again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for coming, for understanding, and for staying with me throughout this journey.”

The emotional speech moved thousands of fans to tears, reaffirming G-Dragon’s deep connection with his audience.
Following the Osaka show, G-Dragon will continue Phase 4 of the Übermensch tour in Taiwan, before making his way to Hanoi, Vietnam for concerts on November 8–9. In light of the Osaka incident, fans are urging tighter security protocols to ensure G-Dragon’s safety and allow him to focus on delivering unforgettable performances.
